Taylor Swift Debuts New Music Video For 'Delicate'

The music video for the song 'Delicate', which is the fifth track on the album, opens with Taylor Swift talking to the media and being clicked by photographers - a regular day in any celebrity's life.

Taylor Swift dropped the music video for the classic T-Swift ballad "Delicate" during the iHeartRadio Music Awards last night. In what has also become true Taylor Swift fashion, though, she's already facing some backlash, and accusations that the video is treading too far into Spike Jonze's territory. That glorious freedom inspires her to break out into dance, and she proceeds to cut a rug barefoot around a hotel, in a subway station, and even outside in a total downpour.

While another wasn't quite so enamored, tweeting, "lorde needs to stop lying to taylor swift and telling her she can dance".

In the clip, Taylor receives a note which magically renders her temporarily invisible. But in my absence, and to show my gratitude, I really wanted to show you my brand-new video for my new single 'Delicate.' This video I am so excited about.

The video was directed by her longtime collaborator Joseph Kahn, best known for helming clips such as Blank Space, Bad Blood, Out of the Woods, Wildest Dreams, and the first three singles from Reputation.

Cute and endearing, the "Delicate" video is definitely one of her stronger visuals in recent memory. Then, when she turns around back to the mirror, her reflection is gone. The carefree dancing and ultimate ending of the song represent Swift's journey towards embracing herself and sharing that with the world. The rain starts pouring on her, but she seems unfazed and continues to dance. "I hope you liked it anyway".
