Amazon working on a fix for random Alexa laughter

Amazon Echo users are reporting that Alexa, the virtual personal assistant that comes with several devices in the Echo line, sometimes begins to break into an unprompted fit of laughter.

As you can imagine, echos of laughter suddenly ringing out in one's otherwise empty home would terrify pretty much anyone, which is why the incident has since become a Twitter Moment.

The good news is that The Verge reached out to Amazon, which told the publication: "We're aware of this and working to fix it".

The random laugh is different from the "teehee" laugh Alexa gives when asked if it can laugh.

Considering how Alexa's functions are relatively standard regarding what she can and cannot do when users started to notice Alexa laughing they started to freak out. Users can review and delete these clips at any time in the Alexa app's History section. "It sounded like a real person". If you're already a subscriber, then all you would need to do is connect your Deezer account to your device and then say, "Alexa, play _ on Deezer".

And this is why I'll never become so lazy that I can't get up to flip a switch myself.
