'Glee' actor Mark Salling found dead at 35

Glee star Mark Salling body was found at 8:50 on Tuesday near a little league baseball field close to the actors home in Los Angeles, California. While the official cause of death has yet to be confirmed, TMZ has claimed the actor died in an apparent suicide.

U.S. actor Mark Salling, known for his role in the hit TV musical series called Glee passed away on Tuesday.

Salling is survived by a mother, father and brother.

Salling is the second member of the Glee cast to pass away, co-star Cory Monteith died of a drug overdose in 2013.

Salling's attorney Michael Proctor said in a statement at the time: "Mark is focused on accepting responsibility and attempting to atone for his conduct". The coroner's office later confirmed that Salling committed suicide by hanging. "The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected".

Back in October 2017, Mark pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor and agreed to serve four to seven years years in prison as a result. The former actor was said to have attempted suicide previously when he cut his wrists in August of a year ago.

Salling "downloaded thousands of images of child pornography" between April and December 2015. A formal sentencing hearing was scheduled for March 7th. Prosecutors claim he had 50,000 images of underage children.

Not much was said as officers from the LAPD moved the body of Mark Salling, 35, from where it was found on January 30. He will also be required to register as a sex offender, pay restitution and abide by residency restrictions.
