Although Google has dominated this low-priced, productivity and education-focused laptop market for quite some time, Microsoft recently announced a few affordable competing devices of their own, some of which run the software giant's answer to Google's Chrome OS - Windows 10 S. For the unaware, Windows 10 S is essentially a stripped down version of Windows 10 that only runs apps downloaded from the Windows Store.

Pricing for the Acer Chromebook 11 C732 starts at $279 with a non-touch display, while touch models start at $299.

The Chromebook 11 C732 also includes an HD web cam, as well as estimated battery life of up to 12 hours on a charge. There's also an optional second camera that faces outward from the cover so you can shoot things in front of you. The Acer Chromebook 11 C732 is IP41-rated, and drop tested up to 122 cm / 48 inches.
