The Stranger Things star is temporarily leaving Hawkins to star in and produce a feature film franchise based on the Enola Holmes mystery novels, per Deadline. Brown will produce through her PCMA Productions banner.

Brown will play the title character, Enola Holmes - the 14-year-old kid sister of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic characters, Sherlock and Mycroft.

While her much older brothers dismiss their little sibling, Enola proves to be a capable detective in her own right: in Missing Marquess, she follows clues to find her mom, who has vanished. This book and the fifth book, The Case of the Cryptic Crinoline, earned Sprinder nominations for Edgar Awards in 2007 and 2010.

This will be Brown's second major film after Legendary and Warner Bros.'s Godzilla: King of Monsters which will release in 2019.
