Kensington Palace says that the conversation will deal with Obama's memories of his time in office as well as his plans for post-presidential life.

Harry told his interviewee that if he used long pauses between answers he would probably get "the face".

Obama, wearing a trademark United States flag lapel badge, replied: "I'll interview you if you want".

Prince Harry has forged a strong bond with Mr Obama over the years, particularly through his work with servicemen and his royal trips to the US.

The pair were seated next to each other at this year's event, seen sharing a laugh as Obama reportedly quizzed Harry on his relationship with Meghan Markle during a wheelchair basketball match. After having watched the video, the Queen simply replies: "Oh really?"
