NYPD opens investigation into Russell Simmons amid rape allegations

"He pushed me into his apartment and then he threw me down on the floor and literally tried to grab. take my clothes off of me".

"And I started kicking him really, really hard, screaming, telling him to get the fuck off of me", she added. And that I would have him killed if he ever f-king laid a hand on me.

Cutrone ran out and left in a cab, wondering whether or not to call the police. Yet, he did say, "For any women from my past who I may have offended, I sincerely apologize".

After those reports of alleged misconduct by Simmons in November, Toni Salle, a music journalist who spoke to The New York Times, said she contacted the Manhattan district attorney's office to accuse him.

"I hope he chokes on his om pendant", Cutrone said.

Additionally, Simmons' Instagram post had a #NotMe image, a play on the #MeToo campaign in which millions of women have shared their stories of sexual harassment, assault, and abuse. He was also accused of sexual misconduct by several other women.

Since late last month, over a dozen women have come forward and accused media mogul Russell Simmons of rape and sexual misconduct, which occurred over the span of almost three decades.

Via his lawyer, Simmons released a statement to "vehemently deny" the charges levied against him.

Russell Simmons, one of the biggest figures in the hip-hop industry, was publicly accused of rape Wednesday night by four women. At this point, Simmons must only present facts in cases that will likely come down to "he said, she said".

Cutrone, 52, grew up in Camillus and graduated from West Genesee High School and Syracuse University.

The New York Police Department opened up an investigation of Simmons on Thursday following the accusations which are now over a dozen.

"Today, I begin to properly defend myself", he wrote in an Instagram post. He even went as far as to twist the #MeToo campaign, which promotes survivors of sexual assault to share their experiences and became so impactful that it spawned this year's "Time Magazine Person of the Year: The Silence Breakers", into a statement of innocence with #NotMe. Russell is just one of many men to experience allegations such as these as of late, with Mario Batali - the celebrity chef - being one of the most recent.
