Bruce Springsteen extends upcoming Broadway run until February 2018

If you didn't score any "Springsteen on Broadway" tickets Wednesday morning, you'll have another shot to see The Boss in NY very soon.

-You can register to purchase new tickets through Ticketmaster's #VerifedFan Onsale, a system created to thwart ticket bots and brokers.

That will bring the total to 79 shows, and tickets for the new dates go on sale at 10 a.m. September 7 through Ticketmaster's Verified Fan service.

However, Ticketmaster cautions desperate fans not to cave in and fork over big bucks to scalpers, as they may not even have the tickets they claim to be selling.

"#SpringsteenBroadway has been EXTENDED!" the ticket outlet tweeted, with a follow-up tweet explaining that fans who had previously registered to purchase tickets will not have to register again.

"I wanted to do some shows that were as personal and as intimate as possible", Springsteen said when he announced his Broadway show. Ticketmaster calls it Verified Fan. Playbill reports Springsteen has extended his run at the Walter Kerr Theatre, which is set to begin October 3, from November 26 to February 3, 2018. Previews begin October 3, with the official opening on October 12.
