Dwyane Wade expected to join Cavs at some point this season

This has been reported by ESPN's Nick Friedell the past week as the guard maybe looking to join a contender as he reaches the final years of his career as the younger players on the team appear to be done with Wade in Chicago.

Dwyane Wade's time in Chicago could be coming to an end soon, and it sounds as if very few of his teammates will be upset. "Of course that means that the Bulls would have to buy (Wade) out, they'd have to get to a number that's acceptable to both parties".

Even though Wade was the second-leading scorer for the Bulls last season, the team is undergoing a youth movement and Chicago's roster is deep with shooting guard talent. Connecting the dots is easy: Miami and Cleveland make the most sense.

Wade is a 12-time All-Star and three-time National Basketball Association champion who could conceivably be a good mentor to the younger players, but Friedell's report suggests he hasn't garnered respect in the locker room. Wade is set to earn $23.8 million this season, and Chicago doesn't want to pay that to Wade just so that he doesn't play for them.

Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon recently said on the "Wine and Gold Talk" podcast (per Dan Feldman of NBC Sports), "As of right now, people close to James are fairly confident that, at some point this year, Dwyane Wade is going to end up on the Cavs". That would be a concern coming into a crowded rotation in Denver but Wade's skill off the ball, which is becoming a prerequisite to play in the Nuggets' offense, would help him thrive next to Jokic.

Wade has strong ties to south Florida.

Wade will ultimately have to decide what type of role he wants if he's bought out in Chicago, but Denver, with their history of engagement with Wade, could be a logical landing spot.

For Heat fans who are anticipating a Wade reunion in Miami, a positive sign increased the likelihood of that event occurring in the near future when WINZ radio host Andy Slater tweeted a surprising bit of news on Monday night.
