X-Men fans will be able to piece together how T'Challa and Killmonger mirror the elder mutants.

T'Challa corners Klaue, who has gone and gotten himself a new arm after losing it in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Creed and Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogler takes the reins for Black Panther, working from a script he penned with American Crime Story writer Joe Robert Cole.

This weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios released a new poster for Black Panther. According to Time, the Comic-Con exclusive footage began with T'Challa, Okoye, and Nakia entering a casino.

Director Ryan Coogler and the cast of Black Panther took the Hall H stage at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday night, unveiling an all-new look at the film that showcases the futuristic African nation of Wakanda. "Arguably, Black Panther is the greatest superhero of all", Marvel Animation's Stephen Wacker said. However, T'Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. But, if the film's trailers have anything to say, Killmonger might be alone in that belief seeing how many people are backing T'Challa these days. Black Panther will continue to make progress and bring female representation to the Marvel Universe. Letitia Wright plays Shur, T'Challa's sister and a technical genius. There was also a big vehicle chase through a busy street, plus several stand-offs with Panther's antagonist, Killmonger, played Michael B. Jordan. "It's a transition period that gets interrupted very quickly".

Nyong'o described her character as a spy who goes undercover to report back to Wakanda about what is going on in the rest of the world. Daniel Kaluuya is W'Kabi, the leader of a border tribe, head of security and childhood friend of T'Challa.

Black Panther sees T'Challa in his first solo adventure after returning home following the events of Captain America: Civil War.

Opening on February 16, 2018, Ryan Coogler's Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa, with Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Andy Serkis, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Brown and John Kani.

Black Panther claws its way into USA theaters on February 16, 2018.
