PUBG First Person Only Servers Announced for Monthly Update

The server will present a tougher challenge for hardcore gamers, with a more realistic and limited point of view. Furthermore, this will be rolled out when PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' FOV slider will take into effect, leading to a more honest peripheral vision than what's available now in third-person modes.

Update: Brendan Greene, PlayerUnknown himself, has confirmed dedicated first-person servers for PUBG's next monthly update, despite prior reservations voiced earlier this week.

However, this first-person mode may get slightly delayed. 1st person servers will be rolling out to EU/NA in Solo and Duo match formats first, with the developers saying that once it is polished a little more the dedicated mode will expand to other regions.

Bluehole Studio has announced that a FOV slider will be coming to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds in the next monthly update. The third-person perspective is largely used when roaming the map and looking for targets, as players can easily look around corners or above walls for any threats. Players can technically switch between third-person and first-person views at will, but the vast majority of players prefer to stick to third-person.
