Cowboys LB Wilson Arrested For Aggravated Assault With Deadly Weapon

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Damien Wilson found himself arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon at a 4th of July fireworks event in Dallas, according to multiple reports. More wise: The Cowboys, like the Frisco Police, will continue to gather information on Wilson's eventful night.

Wilson has been charged with 2 counts of felony aggravated assault. Police released Wilson after he posted a $20,000 bond, although the circumstances of his arrest are still unclear.

The Cowboys have not yet commented.

Wilson is the second Cowboy arrested this offseason, after safety Nolan Carroll was arrested for DUI.

Wilson was an occasional starter on last year's team, and he was expected to start at times this year, as well. In his second National Football League season, Wilson accounted for 34 combined tackles, 27 being of the solo variety, and 0.5 sacks. The 24-year-old played college football at the University of Minnesota. Last season, he had 23 solo tackles and seven assisted tackles across 16 games, including five starts.
