American King Arthur fights to big screen

Ritchie is back this year with King Arthur: Legends of The Sword; a re-imagining of the King Arthur legend from Warner Bros. The famous character needed to be involved and not having him present in the story hurts this film tremendously from the start since you're left with Charlie Hunnam's charisma (or lack of) that can't match his good looks.

"I flew myself to England and I basically showed up at his front door and said "listen, we're going to talk about this because I think you might be making a bit of an error here".

'The only thing I took away from King Arthur is that David Beckham can't act. The former athlete made his silver screen debut in his pal Guy Ritchie's drama alongside film stars Charlie Hunnam and Eric Bana, which will hit United Kingdom cinemas on May 19.

The ex-footballer, 42, has a small part in Guy Ritchie's upcoming film, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

Unfortunately, unlike his successful Beckham empire, his latest stint as a disfigured Cockney knight called Trigger has been heavily criticised.

British director Guy Ritchie has made a career in Hollywood of taking established properties and putting his distinctive spin on them.

David Beckham said he has no plans to make it big on the silver screen as he stepped out for the premiere of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

One such project that once captured his attention is the sequel to David Ayer's Suicide Squad.

"And that, combined with him just being humble and kind and accessible, was very endearing".

Last night (May 9) the pair hugged it out at the premiere for Hunnam's new King Arthur film.

It was crucial that Arthur remain a man of the people no matter what changes he was going through.

Previously in 2015, Ritchie included Beckham in his film "The Man from U.N.C.L.E", where he spoke just two words.

Needless to say, we are absolutely thrilled at the prospect of a musical done in that high energy, frenetic Ritchie style.
