Romelu Lukaku 'annoyed' by persistent speculation about his future

Everton forward Romelu Lukaku has told the media to "stay out of his business" after he was linked with a transfer to either Chelsea or Manchester United.

A report in The Sun has suggested that Everton have earmarked Crotone loanee Diego Falcinelli as a potential target should the Toffees end up selling Romelu Lukaku in the summer.

Lukaku is now the Premier League's top scorer for the season with 24 goals, three more than his nearest rival, Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

The striker seems likely to be on his way out of Goodison Park this summer, though, after refusing to sign a new contract, per The Telegraph's Chris Bascombe.

While former club Chelsea, who originally sold Lukaku to Everton in 2014 for £28 million, are now the favourites for his signature this summer, United are also believed to be interested following Zlatan Ibrahimovic's knee ligament injury.

The report stated Lukaku is torn between a move to Chelsea or Old Trafford and is keen to play under United's former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

Further, the Belgian "believes he is more valued by United" but "desperately wants" to play in the UEFA Champions League, something Chelsea are guaranteed to play in while the Red Devils could be relying on winning the UEFA Europa League after losing to Arsenal on Sunday.

'But at a club like Manchester United you need more strings to your bow.

"What he needs to develop definitely is his game on the ball, in terms of quick combinations with his team-mates".
