Trump adviser to leave the White House

Trump adviser to leave the White House

A counter-terrorism adviser to President Donald Trump will be leaving the White House, according to an official. Gorka is an especially shady and controversial character, even for the Trump administration, as he has been linked to an anti-semitic far-right party in Hungary with Nazi roots.

The Times report said that Gorka will "likely" be moved to a role outside the White House but still be part of the administration.

But a CNN KFile review of Gorka's public comments throughout the presidential campaign shows that even after his work for Trump, the former Breitbart editor offered stinging critiques of his future boss's rhetoric on key foreign policy issues from terrorism to Russian Federation and China. "This guy has always been a big mystery to me", the source said of Gorka's contributions to the staff.

The source said Gorka's only known duties included speaking on television about counterterrism, as well as "giving White House tours and peeling out in his Mustang", but added that he had few notable responsibilities.

It's evident that President Trump liked Gorka and trusted him.

"Incorrect", one source told Breitbart News when asked about reports from the Washington Examiner and CNN that Gorka was leaving the White House.

A senior official told the outlet that he will be appointed to an undisclosed federal agency following his stint with the Strategic Initiatives Group, which is an internal White House organization that works out of the West Wing. More traditional-less loony-national security figures have filled the void that created chaos in the first months of the Trump White House.

He still had yet to receive security clearance as recently as March, precluding him from sitting in on top-level meetings, BuzzFeed News reported earlier this week.

In February, Newsweek reported on Gorka's angry phone call to a terrorism expert who had raised concerns over Gorka's apparent lack of expertise in the field.
