New Single Premiere: "Sign Of The Times" by Harry Styles

New Single Premiere:

As much as we love Zayn, Louis, Niall, and Harry's singles (still waiting on you, Liam), it seems with every new solo effort that hits the airwaves, the possibility of the boys reuniting as a band any time soon gets smaller and smaller.

A glitch on the Spotify streaming service meant that some fans claimed they were unable to play the track in the hours after its release.

One Direction star Harry Styles is looking well placed to topple Ed Sheeran from his position at the top of the charts this week.

They may have been a tight-knit back boyband back in the day, but "dark horse" of the band Zayn Malik has outperformed all of his One Direction bandmates in the amount of streams played on Spotify.

While Harry continues to outsell Ed by more than 3 copies to 1 on the likes of iTunes, streaming on Spotify may give Shape Of You the edge in the final battle.

Although he still leads in the race to top the chart, the release of Harry's debut single didn't go entirely according to plan.

A source told The Sun: "This is a nightmare start for Harry's solo career".

Styles' album, which is produced by Columbia Records, is highly anticipated, given that he is considered to be the best vocalist of One Direction. The number of plays that he missed due to the Spotify error would have narrowed the gap between his new track and that of Sheeran. It also provided a chance for fans to see how they would perform in their solo careers.

So far Harry's solo song has secured 29,695 sales since its release last week, with "Galway Girl" at number two after selling 14,171.

"Sign of the Times" demonstrates Styles' vocal growth, from his raspy vocal range all the way to his angelic falsetto.
