CBS2 Tuesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

High temperatures Thursday will be in the mid 40s. The sky will stay cloudy and winds will be breezy with highs in the low 60s. Breezy northwest winds will build throughout the day, gusting to 25 to 30 miles per hour at times.

Heavier, steadier rain during the late morning and early afternoon allowed the rainfall totals to rise quickly on Tuesday. High pressure will move to our north Thursday and bring slightly cooler temps and most highs will hover around 50 with sunshine and a lighter breeze.

Wet weather continues today across New England. IF any snow accumulates, the most likely locations would be grassy areas and elevated surfaces (decks, mailboxes, cars, etc.), and any accumulation should be well under an inch before the eventual changeover to rain.

Highs will reach into the mid to upper 40s south to near 40 degrees across the north.

We can expect some rain, fog and cloudy skies. It should be dry through the day on Tuesday before rain returns Tuesday night with lows near 50.

A few isolated showers have stuck around with mostly cloudy conditions.

Conditions will clear out by Wednesday as partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-upper 60s are expected.

Another round of scattered showers arrives over the weekend with highs in the 50s. With temperatures falling into the mid 30s by daybreak on Friday it's possible (especially north of the Lehigh Valley) that parts of the area may experience a wintry mix at the onset of this event before it changes over to rain.

Temperatures will be a touch cooler with a NE wind.mid 40s.
