In Mann ki Baat, his monthly radio address, the Prime Minister has spoken on a range of issues, including corruption, economy, farmers' rights and drug addiction.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday called upon the people to take the fight against black money and graft to the "next level" by shunning cash and going digital.

PM Modi concluded the speech by greeting the citizen the India for the upcoming festivals like Chaitra Sukla Pratipada, Varsh Pratipada, Nav Samvatsar and the traditional harvest festivals that wre celebrated with different names in different parts of India. He highlighted the basic aim is to ensure proper care of the newborn, the future citizen of India from the time of birth.

In his address, PM Modi evoked Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his comrades, Sukhdev and Rajguru who were hanged to death by the British during their fight for Indian Independence. 125 Crore Indians want to make new India, a great India. These days, several youngsters are using technology & helping prevent wastage of food. "Have you ever thought how many poor people can be fed if we don't thus waste our food?"

He also spoke at length about depression and how it can be overcome by expressing one's feeling to the near and dear ones and urged the people to help those suffering from it to overcome it.

21st of June is the third International Day of Yoga.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit India during from April 7-10.

The PM, while welcoming the increasing participation of women in the workforce, said maternity leave for working women had been raised to 26 weeks from 12 weeks.
